When the JEE exam was near, I knew that I didn’t have much preparation, which was required to score a good rank in the exam. As I was left with a few months, which were approximately 4-5, I started Googling things like if I can score a good rank in the IIT JEE Advanced exam within four months. For once, I also searched if I can top it, and I know I was kind of stupid to search this.
The thing is, no one in this universe can top the IIT JEE advance in just four months because it takes the preparation of more than 5-6 years to top this exam. You need to prepare mentally as well as physically for this exam. You need to have the patience to write this exam because this exam is way too long.
You can clear the exam with a decent rank in four months, but it is merely impossibly for anyone on this planet to secure a rank under 500. Given the possibility that the person intending to solve the paper isn’t Einstein himself. Today, many experts agree that the IIT JEE Advanced is also the toughest exam in this universe, which only a few can clear.
Many students don’t even sleep for many days as they prepare continuously for days for this exam. Most of these students are deprived of sleep, and they tend to solve really hard and deep problems so that their concepts can be very much clear.
One of such students was in my batch too, he used to score really well in the exams and also used to solve really intense problems. This used to amuse me a lot as he had been taking coaching since his 8th standard, and he had a specific routine of studying. He was dedicated, and he loved studying. He also didn’t talk much with the other students, so he didn’t have a smartphone. To me, life without a smartphone could not be imagined, and I really pitied him.
But the fact is he used to score really well in the class, and most of the time, he scored the highest.
I talked to him once for doubt, and I really loved the way he explained that doubt to me. I was really startled by his doubt explaining way, and he explained with too much easy. I thought his explanation to be much better than the teachers’ way, and I thought that he might become a good teacher someday.
I think if you want to top the IIT JEE Advanced exam, you need to start from the very beginning as this means you need to enroll in the coaching institutes at the age of 14-15. When I see the toppers’ posters, I observe that most of these toppers started their coaching very early. They even took the distance courses of some other institutes to solve more and more questions. I think they, since that age, they have only done the JEE related questions.
This has made their brain much sharper, and they have been able to solve much harder questions.
The thing is that I realized the fact that the IIT JEE Advanced cannot be topped in just mere four months very late. This is entirely impossible as this would require a miracle.
Most of the students who top the IIT JEE Advanced exam don’t even go to these colleges to go to the top technical colleges in the world like MIT and Stanford. Most of these students migrate to these colleges even though they have topped the exam. So I don’t think anyone serious about this exam would leave all the exam preparation pressure on the last four months as this can be one of the most dangerous stunts ever.
When I searched this thing online, most of the ‘platform’s responses were like as to them, this was a joke, and many even said that one might need to study 24×7 for those four months. This meant going without sleep for four months. Obviously, this joke was not intended to hurt anyone but was just to entertain people.
Most of the people said that you could only clear the exam with a decent rank, given that you must have prior knowledge of the exam. This also meant that you must have studied something related to these topics if you wanted to clear the exam.
I agreed to this thing as you cannot just be mind-blank and then expect to get a good rank in one of the most prestigious exams on this planet. Although I knew I couldn’t get the top rank I desired when I got here, I made a thorough plan for four months. I did this to make sure that I cleared that exam and wouldn’t disappoint my parents.
I made sure that I limit my talking time with my boyfriend, and I also limited my meeting time with him. He was such a gentleman as he accepted my choices and supported me fully. I then started my preparation, and I really worked hard for those four months.
If you really want to become an engineer and if you are really serious about this exam, you should not wait for the end of four months. This won’t help anyone who is serious but would only increase pressure on you, and you would be anxious all the time. This is the way I used to feel during those last four months as I was tensed and was really worried.
I think I should have made a good schedule beforehand and shouldn’t have left everything for the end. This might have helped me score well and have made those four months easy for me.
